I can’t wait to get mine done.

All of these ladies are beautiful! Anyone who thinks this is an easy option is completely naive. WLS requires a willingness to endure not only physical pain, but also the emotional pain that comes when you are finally ready to give up your food addiction. If you are not completely honest with yourself and committed it will fail. I was banded in Feb. of 2010 and have lost 75 pounds. (30 to go!) although it has been unbelievably hard, I’m so glad to have my life and health back!

Great Transformations! Good luck on life

@starshine977 Actually the food addiction doesn’t just “die” when you have WLS. That’s why so many people who get the surgery end up gaining the weight back – because they didn’t get to the root of why they over-ate to be begin with. The only way to truly change your life is to relearn healthy eating habits, portion control, and learn to over come emotional eating.

  • candacelynno12006 posted: 07 Sep at 9:48 am

@starshine977 ….uhhh you can gain it all back, just look at carnie wilson.

  • starshine977 posted: 07 Sep at 10:10 am

Weight loss surgery is a huge decision and I of all people aren’t suggesting other people do it, mainly because it is so hard, but don’t mock those that decide to have it like they aren’t taking control of their lives. I saved my own life. I won’t let you decide that I didn’t make the best decision for myself. I wish you the best on your journey.

  • starshine977 posted: 07 Sep at 10:19 am

also these people didn’t just breathe and it magically disappeared..they ate three small meals a day and went to the gym..they can’t cheat, they’re new stomach wont let them..their addiction to food is dead, it’s physically impossible…so it’s not easy.

  • starshine977 posted: 07 Sep at 10:42 am

@Fromfat2phat843 weight loss surgery hurts like hell and it’s not easy…actually it’s harder than just losing weight..its a lot harder..the reason i did it is because I can’t gain it back, you can.

  • Fromfat2phat843 posted: 07 Sep at 10:58 am

@beccasmith5 oh yeah they do have ALOTTTT of extra skin in most cases. If you were to do it slow and allow your body to lose slowly u will have less skin.No matter if you do it by surgery or on your own if you alot of weight your gonna have it!!

  • Fromfat2phat843 posted: 07 Sep at 11:12 am

@beccasmith5 Hey, i was thinking about having that too I JUST CALLED LAST FRIDAY, BUTTTT i will NOT have it! Why? bcuz i feel that it wont be teaching ME anything. All my life i been taking the “easy’ way out of things instead of really looking in on my problems! So i will be taking my weight lost by the head and doing it right,by diet(life style change) and exercise! I’m NOTTT putting these ppl down for what they did but i gotta do it the RIGHT way for ME! Follow me on my vblog thanks!!!!!

Okay, I’m considering Lap Band. I’m 20 years old and I wanted to know if all these people had to get plastic surgery after the lap band procedure to look that good, like does everyone get the sagging skin?

I think they all look beautiful before and after its society and rude people that make others feel like they are not beautiful, congrats on bein so brave, everyone thinks that getting surgery is the easy way out and its not.

  • Venusfading posted: 07 Sep at 1:22 pm

@xCrispix Between visiting a million specialists to get clearance, dealing with the insurance company, going on a recorded six month diet, dealing with the pain, learning to eat again, and never being able to eat the same… I’d say it’s not for lazy fat people, it’s proactive fat people who want to change.

  • codnoobtube12 posted: 07 Sep at 1:53 pm

@SwaqqThatSingerGirl how old do you have to be to do it?

  • xCrispix posted: 07 Sep at 2:42 pm
